Bob's Public API permissions follow the same logic as the permissions you grant other users on the Bob platform.

Bob's employee fields are organized within categories. With field-level permissions, you can grant access at the category level or to individual fields under People’s data > People’s fields. Category permissions act as defaults; field-level settings can open or restrict specific fields.

Setting permissions

To access the API, a Bob Admin must:

1. Define an API Service Users.
2. Create a permission group for the API to perform the actions.
3. Grant the relevant permissions for the API to perform the actions.
