# Employer API: now available in the Public API

Use the **Employer API** to retrieve employer and work-location entity data from Bob’s Employer section and sync it to external systems.

### What’s new

* Employers and Work locations are new entities in Bob, defined in **System settings > Company**, and can be linked to employees.
* The Employer API lets you fetch employer and work location data, including legal, registration, tax, contact, address, and status information.
* This API fetches the employer and work-location entities themselves, not employee profile fields.

### Value

* Keep external systems aligned with Bob as the source of truth for employer and work-location data.
* Support reporting, reconciliation, payroll-per-entity workflows, and partner integrations that depend on legal-entity and location data.

### How does this affect you

* This is an additive API, and no action is required. 
* If your integration needs employer or work location data, you can now retrieve it directly from Bob using the Employer API.
