Bob Hiring Background Checks API for partners

Approved third-party background check providers can now connect to Bob Hiring through a standard partner API and build Marketplace apps that run checks end to end.

What’s new

This release adds a partner-facing Background Checks API, enabling providers in Bob’s Marketplace ecosystem to integrate their screening services with Bob Hiring.

With this API, approved partners can:

• Register background check packages for each installing company
• Receive background check requests when recruiters order a check in Bob Hiring
• Fetch candidate, requester, job opening, package, and request details
• Send status updates, results, reports, and check breakdowns back to Bob
• Keep workflows in sync when a background check is triggered or canceled

• Expands customer choice by letting more background check providers connect with Bob Hiring
• Lets Bob Hiring users trigger background checks from Bob, while providers run the check in their own systems
• Supports a broader, more scalable ecosystem of background-check partners

How does this affect you

• This is an additive API. No action is required unless you are building or updating a background-check Marketplace integration.
• If you are a background check partner, you can now integrate using the Background Checks API.
• If you are a HiBob customer who works with a background check provider that is not currently connected to Bob, ask them to contact HiBob at https://www.hibob.com/partner/ and select Become a Partner > Tech Partner.
